Data cabling
The data cabling in many schools dates back to installations carried out in the mid 1990s, and as such is unlikely to meet current standards for Gigabit network speeds.
DataSwift, being the Island’s only TE Connectivity (formerly ADC Krone) Authorised Integrator, as well as Nexans Copper Installations Supervisors, are able to install Category 5e, 6, 6a and 7 copper cabling to the highest standards (supporting data rates of up to 40Gb/s over copper and fibre-optic cables).

We offer a full site-survey, allowing you to locate areas of your existing infrastructure that require attention or upgrading. Electronic and paper copies of test results are provided upon request. DataSwift use a Fluke Networks 1800 DTX cable analyser in order to certify to published standards for copper and fibre-optic data cabling.
All our engineers are members of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS), giving us the capability to work on building sites before official handover, saving you time. All DataSwift staff are also Enhanced-CRB cleared, with reference numbers available on request.
For longer runs of cable (beyond 90m) we provide fully certified fibre-optic installations, running at up to 40Gb/s.
Audio/visual
DataSwift have many years experience installing a wide variety of audio-visual solutions in schools across the Island. We are able to offer advice and installation to suit your specific needs, rather than enforcing a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach.
